A: Indicates a comfort stop is available.

Q: When I use my Gold Card on the buses, trains or ferries why do they issue a ticket for a free ride.
A: Supergold travel is funded by central government - via a fixed, national administration pot. So when a Gold Card holder uses a bus, train or ferry in Auckland, Auckland Transport has to record that travel by issuing a ticket and then submit a claim to Central Government to be reimbursed. Ensure your ATHOP card is loaded with your Gold Card concession, you receive a free ride and your trip is then electronically recorded for inclusion in the claim for reimbursement.

A: An
ATHOP card is a reusable prepaid smart card for travel on Buses, Trains and Ferries around Auckland.

Q: What does ATHOP mean?

A:
The simplest way is to walk up to the Pinesong main entrance, catch a bus (at the stop this side of Avonleigh road) to the New Lynn rail station. Walk inside to their Ticket sales counter and buy a card for cash. If you go to the Customer service counter they only accept eftpos. Present your Gold Card and the sales person will load the details and you will always receive the Gold Card concession. Remember on AT bus services the Gold Card concession starts at 9:00 am and continues through until midnight.

Q: What will an ATHOP card cost ?
A:
The AT HOP card costs $5 until at least 31 January 2015. The minimum top up is $5, there is no longer a top up fee.

Q: Where do I park to pick up people arriving at the New Lynn train station.
A: When dropping off or picking up passengers there are
two 2 minute public stopping spaces in front of the bus stops on the Clark St. side of the station, just before the corner of Clarke St. and Memorial Drive.
